As a new mom and a Raleigh newborn photographer, I’ve tried a lot of swaddles.
When V was born, she screamed until she was swaddled.
We tried the Love to Dream, Swaddle Me, Solly Baby, Copper Pearl, Happiest Baby (SnooSack), and Loulou and Co.
My favorite (hands down!) was Loulou!
Here are a couple of notes about each–
1- Love to Dream:
- This one did not work for us! But I know lots of babies love it. I think this one comes down to your little one. The double zipper is very nice though.
2- Swaddle Me:
- I wanted this one to work for us! But V hated it. It’s a really convenient swaddle and I know people love it. Baby is the boss!
3- Solly baby:
- This one was actually L’s favorite! They have really really cute prints and colors! We got one that was a limited print, a really sweet watercolor floral.
- Con: This was a pro for Liam and a con for me– it was just a little bit less stretchy than the Loulou swaddle. So if you prefer a swaddle that is really soft, but slightly less elastic, this one is your swaddle! We used our swaddle from Solly Baby for months and we’re definitely saving it for our next baby.
4- Copper Pearl:
- We have a couple of Copper Pearl swaddles and loved them! They have a great selection of neutral colors, and you can grab them from Amazon which is super convenient.
5- Happiest Baby (Snoo Sack):
- Huge fan! We used this with our Snoo until V outgrew the Snoo. The double zipper is really convenient, the sacks are on Amazon, and they transition to a sleep sack with arms out which was nice while we were working on helping V get ready for her crib.
6- Loulou and Co. :
- These were my favorite! V is a really long baby, and the Loulou swaddles were the biggest and the stretchiest. And I LOVE their patterns.
